Hello! It's been a while since I posted last as work on my '81 124 has been going slow. But I got the engine back in and am just tying up the loose ends now. My question that I have been trying to reason out is how does the oil pump work? I have the mechanical pump but there is no way it pumps oil all the way up to the cams. And if I go to add oil via the oil cap there is no fiscal way that oil will reach the other cam. Can anyone briefly explain how it works?
Sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm tired of staring at my engine trying to figure it out! Thanks in advance!
