Howdy y'all,
A couple weeks ago I acquired this 1978 spider convertible. It has been off the road since 2011, and last started once in 2014. In the mid 90s it was painted porsche yellow, converted to fuel injection, and he only put 800 miles on it.
After a couple days of detailing, I dove into the mechanics. Couldn't have done it without this forum! Haynes manual helps...
Replaced all the brake rotors and pads, and front calipers from AR. Cleaned and lubed the locking blocks really well, they slide by hand. Repacked front wheel bearings. All new fluids. New fuel pump and FI relay (reason it wasn't running).
Tomorrow I'm putting in new plugs and wires. Then figuring out why my stupid starter wont turn
Hello from San Diego, CA. 78 with fuel injection
