Brake compensator connections - which way round?

Post by akershaw »

My brake lines have all been removed and I'd like to reconnect the rear axle compensator (aka regulator). Not sure which line to put in which of the holes. There's one that has an arrow pointing away from it, and I assume that's the one that should be connected to the 'downstream' brake line, ie the one that goes to the splitter on top of the axle. Is that right? Does it matter? Thanks in advance.

From my book picture, from the MC to the rear of the BC. Another one from the front of BC to the T before the rubber hose.
