I've been having problems with cooling too, but I opted to not start another thread... My engine temp has been running high since the two liter conversion last Spring. It's in a '69 AS, which originally had the fifteen hundred engine. Is the radiator the same for each? The engine conversion took up too much room between the radiator and the engine to keep the fan in its original position, so it was initially mounted on the other side of the radiator with its direction the same as before. This was no good, so I now have a nice Slim Line fan mounted to the original side of the radiator, and blowing toward the engine. The radiator is in good shape, and its fan has been coming on at what the gauge calls 190 degrees but the temp of the gauge continues to rise. My engine also has the eighteen hundred head.
It's been less of a problem since it quit being so hot outside in Eugene, Oregon but I still watch it rise at the traffic lights. Other than that and random electrical it's running quite strong. Any ideas are of help, and I thank you all for chiming in on my previous posts.
