JEGS fittings / brake resevoirs dress up

Post by phaetn »

Since I'm about to do an engine rebuild, I'm wondering about dressing up the engine a bit, too.

I see some people have JEGS fittings, if that's what they're called. It's often braided hoses with aluminum fittings in red and blue. I'm thinking of getting away from just black rubber with hose clamps. :) I guess it would be for fuel line to carb, maybe crank breather, maybe rad hoses.

Any idea where to source them for our cars so that they will fit out of the box without having to measure first? I know on my '74 I have an unusual bend for the rad hose from the header.

While I'm at it any suggestions for aluminum brake reservoirs (with or without sight glass)? I have Allison's billet aluminum coolant reservoir and would love to match with something on the brake side (two reservoirs). Something like this but that holds less volume:

Thanks and cheers,
