Hey All, Finally giving a shout out after lurking a bit. My son and I recently bought a 1975 124 Spider 1800. I think we're the third owner, having bought it from a gentleman in Olympia, WA who I imagine was a frequent visitor here
This is our first attempt at a rebuild and it's been a little challenging to start with, having less than ideal conditions to work on the car (her working name is Stella at the moment) at my FIL's place. But we're in it for the long haul and intend to get it back into close to factory mint as we can. It's a tough pull between wanting to go slow and do things right and simply wanting to drive the car! But we'll get there!
If any one is nearby, would love to hear from you! My FIL has tons of car experience, but mainly with VWs, so some experience in Fine Italian Auto Tech would be great to compare notes with!
Ciao for now! Jim

Welcome Jim and Stella. Although I'm not near Portland, feel free to ask questions and someone on this forum will likely be able to answer them.

Hello, I’m in Portland and while no mechanic I’ve done quite a bit to my Spider and my Lancia Fulvia. I also have a 1968 Ford Econoline van and have done some stuff on that as well. I’m happy to lend a hand if I can and would like to meet and see your car at some point!
