1st FIAT Spider 124
OK, here it goes; this is the "First", FIAT I have owned - a 1980 Fiat Spider 2000 (fuel injected). I'm a "Car Guy", have a couple of Classic Muscle cars and lately have been drawn to the VWs and had my share of MGs, Triumphs, and Alfa's - BUT - This is my "First" Fiat. I just picked it up about 2 weeks ago and like all the Classics and Sports Cars I get, I do my best to find out what I can about them. I simply love finding, obtaining, fixing, driving, and flipping cars. I hope this site will provide me with information and guidance that will prove useful, and I'm sure it will. Let me start by asking: "Where would be a good place, realizing eBay and other sites are out there to track down a good "Owners Manual" or "Repair Manual" for my FIAT; simply to show me the operational procedures, knobs, switches, etc. The interior and control panel seems fairly brief, with not many controls. Anyway, look forward to all the comments on the Fiat, thanks.

Welcome,
there are some brilliant folks on here, very willing to help.
these cars are fairly straight forward, but you will learn a few Italian swear words

hope this link works,
have used this manual and done a ton of work on mine.
there are quite a few out there, as well as very well written up procedures here.

Another good reference is "Maintaining the Italian Roadster" by Bradley J Artigue. Can find that in Kindle version or paperback on Amazon. Lots of interesting tips in that. Also registering at http://www.mirafiori.com will give you lots of helpful information too. Enjoy your Fiat!

Welcome, I've owned a few classics over the years and keep coming back to the style and feeling associated with these little Italian roadsters. There is a pretty good availability of parts and a handful of specialized suppliers. Good luck with the car and post some pics.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

As already mentioned, mirafiori.com is well worth joining. It's free and has an excellent library with owners manuals, wiring diagrams, service manuals etc. Not the easiest to navigate but once you figure it out it is straight forward. A word of caution. The wiring diagrams are not always 100% accurate.

Try this again and if this post appears twice, oooops! Appreciate the replies and will definitely check out those websites that were suggested. As for loading pics, would love to but every time I attempt, to click the Img box above, this happens: , nothing more, just shows the [Img], any tips?

This site doesn't support images directly. You have to upload your photos to another site like Imgur, Flicker, Smugmug, Google, etc. and then link to that web address in your postings here.JPLSR1 wrote:As for loading pics, would love to but every time I attempt, to click the Img box above, this happens: , nothing more, just shows the [Img], any tips?
