I'm new here /w pics
My dad recently gave me one and I bought another for salvage parts. So far its been quite frustrating, but my goal is just to get it road worthy, then fix it up as time and money permits. I'm not looking forward to the headaches, already going through some, but I see how people fall in love with them, I've not even driven mine yet and its driving me crazy.
Heres some pics:

Happy to see so many passionate people and giving help about them on what seems like a pretty active forum.
Thanks for letting me join!

Welcome aboard Zam. Very cool looking car. I'm not a big fan of flame jobs, but I gotta say, yours is looking good! It's not the normal fake looking flames from the wheel wells. Nice.

Gotta love a new forum member that comes to the forum ready willing and able to share pictures!!
welcome. Nice flame job. Makes your car special. good idea to grab a parts car right away. what you cannot use yourself, you might be able to sell to finance those parts you need to buy.

I think that the ''realflame'' looks great.I work on a alcohol dragster that has realflame on the nose to about halfway up.It has won a couple best appearing trophies at the races.Get her running ,and enjoy it while you work out the rest of it.
good luck ,Craig

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I'll try to keep updated when I can. Glad everyone seems to like the flames. I wasn't sure about them too until I seen it.
I'll probably be around asking dumb questions for a while...

Update: I got a new beige top on it
Also, have replaced windshield and frame, carb rebuilt, drivers door handle rebuilt (lock mech was jacked up).
Found out its got the 2nd gear grindage problem
So, still have to pull trany out of parts car and put in it, bumpers and mor extererior part, and a lot of interior work. Also, quite a bit of body work which don't show up the pics and probably a repaint after that, its slow going, but its going...

Are you driving it yet?
You'll need to practice up on your unpretentious "Thank you" for all the compliments you're going to get when you do.

I've only driven around the block once so far, but I've had 4 difrent neighbors, its at my parents house actually since my dad has all the tools, walk up their driveway to check it out while I was working on it today. They all have stories of their MGs, convertables, first cars etc.. My dad always has some cool car or another he is working on too, their neighbors are always intrested to see what turns up in their driveway.
Thanks for checking the update out and for the encouragement to keep going on it.

If the suspension's sound, I'd be putting the turn signals back in and making it a rolling restoration. Good luck with it and thanks for the update!

Re: I'm new here /w pics
I think maybe the suspension was rebuilt by previous owner, it is rock solid, or either that one of the few parts of this car that has held up well over the years. I'm not sure but I think whomever the previous owners were they might have been planning on going racing with it. I just suspect that with the great suspension and for its age I've never felt a 4 cylender that ran as smooth after I got the carb rebuilt of course. Knocking on wood. I'm going to see about getting temp plates soon, that means in the next 3 or 4 months hopefully, needs a drivers seat, or maybe not heh, then will get the signal lights going soon after too so I can drive it around legally without hand signals, thanks again for checking the pics guys, maybe by next year I can bring it to one of those rally thingers or something I read it sounds like you guys have a lot of fun at showing off your cars.

I'm near Denver Colorado. Know of any Fiat clubs around these parts? I've got more into looking and liking these kinds of cars since I got one now. It has been this forum and reading about how much the owners love them that keeps me going on mine. I'd like to see more in person and not just pictures and words on the net.
