I just spoke with Gary Poage a few minutes ago -- he posts here occasionally, and most of you in So Cal know him. He has only managed to get a couple hours sleep over the past 2 days due to the fires sweeping thru his area. The fire did destroy several houses in his neighborhood (hills above Yorba Linda), but the fire crews were able to spare Gary's house (and '69 spider). We're happy to know they have survived the worst, and sorry to here the demise of his neighbors.

That's too close for comfort! I'm glad Gary and his family are okay and I hope the rest of you SoCal guys aren't in any danger.

Mixed feelings,
I’m feeling very sad for the for my friends and there families that are exposed to the fire even though we only met thru this internet forum and never in real life I still consider you all my friends.
I’m feeling glad that I and my family live in a country that has little to almost non natural disasters.
My best wishes to everybody exposed to the fire.

On behalf of the Aussie contingent, we hope that you guys in California are spared from these disatrous fires. We know only too well about the destruction that bushfires can wreak. Australia is no stranger to bushfires.
Our thoughts are with you.

Re: So Cal fires
I was checking ferrarichat.com and they have quite a few folks moving cars around, not to mention worrying about their homes. Probably a lot of Ferrari's in Cali I would assume.
