Anyone else see this? F1 is such a joke anymore. Speed TV should just replay F1 seasons from 66 to 94 and tell FIA to go F123 itself!

"Ecclestone reveals that the reason for paying Ferrari the extra $80 million goes back to 2003 when F1 teams tried to form a breakaway championship. Ecclestone explained: "They were the only team that broke ranks with the other manufacturers - why did they break ranks? That's where the $80 million comes in. We 'bought' Ferrari. We 'bought' Ferrari's loyalty. Our deal with Ferrari was that we 'bought' them so they would not go to the others.""

Im am heartbroken,
I now study in Queebec city but i was born and raised in Montreal.
Every year it my friends and I would look forward to the week the grand Prix would come to Montreal. It was the one time of the year where Ferrari's were as common as civics downtown. I could cruise in My Red Fiat Spider with my tan and Aviator shades and watch the insanely beautiful women watch back.

The 3 days of the race event were a true test of our livers.

Ecclestone has competely killed the romance and the joie de vivre of F1 racing. Italy lost a race, France and now Montreal. But hey im a leach who would sell my own mothers organs so lets give races to Turkey and a few middle eastern countries. Lets also masacre everything that made formula one special.

The last time I was in Italy i noticed that people dont realy care about F1 anymore, the new sport of choice in the meditaranean is Moto GP with their hero il dotore Valentino Rossi. The riders have character, the sport is pure, and the fanbase is evergrowing.

Mr. Ecclestone has bit the hand that fed him. my dream would be or Ferrari and Maclaren to create a a new sport. Back to the old days, maybe pay the drivers a little less since lets face it, their lives are not in danger as it once was.

If any of you are even remotely spiritual i think you would agree with me that Mr. Enzo Ferrari is rolling in his grave. Not only for what has become of the sport but what his own company has done with his name. Ferrari cologne, ferrari laptops, ferrari luggage and probobly the most insulating of them all a soon to be oppened Ferrari theme park in Dubai.
