I removed that horrid dealer installed trim from the exterior
doors...now I have holes left from the screws. Is there a good
remedy for patching these screw holes?
I do plan to paint it in the next year. ..until then
I was thinking to use some clear silicone to
keep the water out. Ideally I'd like something
I can touch up to match the paint though.
Thanks!

Dealer installed Trim removed...Now what?
I don't think I'd go with the silicone just to hard to paint and to smooth out and look good. If you're going to paint it why not just go ahead and either weld up the holes or fill them with body filler. Not the cheap stuff but some of the stuff you find at the auto paint store or go to eastwood they have all sorts of different things to fix cars with.I use the featherweight body filler and it works great . Filling the holes would be easy just take a aul that will fit in the hole but fits tight after a 1/4 inch or so and just give it a little tap to put a little indent in the metal this helps to give the material something to holed on to when you smooth it out as well as the little screw hole. Good luck as I'm sure there are some other body specialites out there that can help you if need in your local .
