a tip of the hat

Post by narfire »

A tip of the hat to Tony Devito(although it was an airbus) and his brethren and the good outcome of the incident in New York today. The flight angels were on their side today.
On a lighter side, wondering if the captain made sure they had their fishing licences.

That was truly amazing. The plane was headed to Charlotte, NC and it was funny when the local tv crew interviewed a guy that had been on the plane that said he called his wife to tell her he would be late and she didn't believe the reason he gave.

From what was quoted from aviation people ,,is that everything in the ditching of an airplane had to be spot on for this ending to be what it was.. This is one to remember .. what a great day for all those people to live and tell their stories.. Now for the Movie to come out ..
Remember the wreck in 1982 ? the plane that went down in the Patomic in Washington DC ? 80 passengeres 5 survived I believe and my family was looking all over the news that night because my older brother was in DC and flying out that night to come home here in Oregon .. Wasnt his plane and infact his flight was cancelled for 2 days because of ice build up on the planes. Which was the reason why this plane went down in the Potomic River ..

Just a thought:

You know ? I for one forget from time to time just how wonderful it is to be alive ..until a happening like this plane going down into the hudson river .. You can betcha that many of these people will hug their love ones like never before and have a much broader smile when greeting people and show much more patients with others .. I wish we could be that way everyday,, LD
