 Jeez Dave, I feel for you. I drove downtown to the library at 5:00 PM with the top down this evening.
No heater going.
I was wondering how you all were doing.

You northern guys are supposed to keep the cold up there. It's 14 degrees this morning and we're looking at a low of 10 tonight. I'm staying in the house by the fireplace this weekend while Ron drives north of Detroit to bring home a new toy.
To quote Mike Bouse, "Winter = bad"! Can't wait til spring.

About the same temps here, Denise. But I got the short block over to the machine shop, and the hood & cowl to the body shop yesterday. Today the tranny goes to the FIAT mechanic, so I'm keeping busy. Our normal highs this time of year are in the 40's, maybe next week it'll be warm enough to get the heater going again in the garage to start on the cylinder head and other leftover items.

If we get this weather next week, it'll be a mess. A million people outdoors in this weather? What is the freeze point of Porta Potty fluid, anyway?

50/50 mixture should be good for -35. I sure am glad I went up there in November instead of this weekend. The traffic is going to be unbelievable!

It is even cold here in the Georgia mountains.Walked out on the deck this morning and was greeted by-1deg,!!!Warmed up to 25 in the p.m.Cant complain though,it has been a really mild winter. Also,we have gotten so much rain that we are officially not in a drought any longer.

We have the opposite problem down here at the moment, the worst heat wave for 100 years has hit this part of the country. The Australian Open tennis is being held in Melbourne (about 70 miles away) and it's a shamble with many top players unable to cope with the heat. I took this shot in my garage at 4pm this afternoon - we're expecting 4 or 5 days of the same with bushfire warnings in the extreme.

Good gracious Curly! That's as bad as Arizona in the summer. At that point, does it even matter if it's humid or dry heat? :?
