Dave, My parents in Cincy got some of that storm. Saw some pictures with ice laden trees, did you get any ice also?

Curly, Your garage cabinets, leopard wood, right? I've worked with that before, hard stuff. One of those doors would make a beautiful dash.

To those who subscribe to the "Gospel according to Gore", its funny how in the winter time its not called Global Warming. Its referred to as "Climate Change", until about May, when it then becomes Global Warming all over again.

I know that we have Climate Change twice a year in Michigan. Summer and Winter

Just friendly observations and banter.

Could very well be Matt. We call it Silky Oak down here, but it's a native to Oz.
By the way today was even hotter than yesterday in the garage -

The dog is having a great time indoors and the goldfish pond had to have the water changed before the fish fried
The radio pet's recommendation is to partially fill plastic softdrink bottles with water, freeze them and place them in our outdoor fish ponds.
Same temps expected tomorrow as well

I could not imagine surviving in that heat. I will deal with the snow instead! We have a good foot, without ice. Bummer, no work today...

Thanks for your concerns, the Gippsland fires have destroyed more than 30 homes around the lovely hamlet of Boolarra about 25 miles southeast of here. We've had plenty of smoke and a crimson glow over the hills in the evenings. We're on a 3-acre bush block ourselves with hundreds of towering eucalypts not far from the house and garages . In this freakishly hot, dry weather fire is always on our minds.
The heat wave has passed for the time being , but now the dog thinks she able to spend her life indoors
