 I had a '75 Spitfire, back in the day (my first new car!) My then boyfriend (he's hubby now), myself, my best friend and her boyfriend (he was a big guy too!) rode in it with the top UP, in pouring rain, from Cortland NY to some other small upstate town who's name escapes me now, to attend a concert in the mud. We had a blast! Wouldn't do that now of course, but when you're young these things are just part of the party!

What about front belts?

Post by leif-amber »

I have a 73 and mine doesn't even have front belts? Does anyone know where to find some and how/where to mount them? I have not found any holes in the sides of the seats or carpet or anywhere so I don't know if previous owner took them out or if it came without them. My father told me in the state of arkansas in the 70s seatbelts were optional equipment?

Mine is a 72 and should have the same seatbelts yours does. See if this pic helps:

pull the carpet up and look underneath, especially behind the front seat on the floor and on the inside of the rocker panel
