Timing Belt tensioner

Post by WarbirdAL »

Question, I am working on my engine a 69 124 Sports Coupe, 1438cc . I noticed my timing belt tensioner is rusty and I figure I better replace it while I have the head off. There are some new tensioners on ebay but the applications are for a 71 on up. ANyone out there know if it is the same bearing or do I need a special one for my year? I will also ask my local Fiat mechanic. Forgot about that he may have one and or know if it is the same.

thanks

Al

ok I am mixed up, it is not the tensioner just the free wheeling bearing that the timing belt spins on. Is this the same bearing that fits all 124's . thanks
