Shortly after this video, while traveling on the same trail, I bottomed out a couple times and broke my oil pump pick up. Getting home was quite an adventure.

Man, that road looks rough! Did you just overfill it with oil & drive home? I just bought a o/p skid plate to prevent that.fiatS2000 wrote:http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 8682&hl=en

Hey Trey,
Where did you get the skip plate and how muck was it. Did you put it one yet? How easy is the install?

Re: Its all fun and games 'til someone loses an oil pump pick up
it's a long story.
It started last thursday when i got my helmet camera(thanks Mark) and thought that it would be a great idea to go test it out on the ortega hwy to show the group a preview of the upcomming run on March 14th. On Friday, I went in my spider and took a solo run up hwy 74 from Lake elsinore going west. I drove out to the county line and turned around and drove back, creating a short film in each direction. I then drove down to escondido and took another short solo run of one of my favorite local roads, filming it aswell. At least I thought that i was filming it. When i got home and put the memory card into the computer, I discovered that i had taken 6 photos, rather than 3 videos.
*i just got kicked off the computer, i will finish the story tomorrow, i mean later on today)
