New Spider Owner!
Hi All! I just bought my first Spider this month . I found it in Calgary, and trailered it home (it's still too cold here to drive it 2 hours down the highway) to Lethbridge, Alberta. Being new to Fiats, I throughly checked out fiatspider.com before making my decision to buy this car. I have to say, I LOVE my 81 Spider, these are great cars. Last Saturday I drove it to the parts store to look for gear oil -not an easy task- and had 2 people stop me to ask about the car. Now I'm just looking for a replacement floor and radio console. The PO tried to re-cover them himself . Other than that, I'm looking forward to some spring driving!

Holy moly! Another Canadian!
The way it's been going recently, you guys will have as many Spiders as we do in California.
One more word for you: pictures!

Phill,
Welcome to the forum. You are going to have a blast driving that car.
I may have a radio console for you later in the spring when I take my wrecked Spider out of storage. Shipping would be quite cheap coming from Saskatoon. Go Blades Go!

A cunuck from LA (Lethbridge Alberta) We have a friend from there, can't pronounce the last name though.
You'll find the car might drive you nuts at times but its all about the ride. The wrenching becomes fun and I find relaxing,go figure.
This forum is wonderfull, seems one can always find a solution of some sort to an issue or answer to a question.
Spring should be next week as this week was -10 cel. Time for a drive eh.
The fiats are getting closer to the okanagan. if you come out this way let me know.
Ital Motors in Edmonton has parts and info on the fiats and alfas.
Good Luck
Chris

Re: New Spider Owner!
Welcome Phill from another '81 owner - this one in Victoria, BC. I bet you could not get the smile off your face on that first drive!
Lots of friendly help on this forum. Glad you joined up. I'm going to do the floorpans on mine too - hopefully this year, if I can stop driving it long enough!

Pictures are on the way. Just waiting for the first nice day to her out of the garage. It's either been way to cold, or the wind has been blowing 60 mph. Lethbridge...What a wonderful place to own a convertible!
