Greetings from Murphy, NC

Post by CarolinaKeith »

My name is Keith and I live in Murphy, NC. I own a 1980 Spider FI. We are getting ready for the paint booth. My first car 36 yrs ago was a 1963 Fiat 1100 Special. I am looking forward to driving and enjoying this car. Previous sport cars have been 1971 Jensen Interceptor, 1967 Triumph TR4A, 1969 Triumph Spitfire, 1967 Porsche 912, 1974 Porsche 914, 1974 Datsun 260Z, & a 1976 Datsun 280Z. As you can tell I am a glutton for punishment. I am hoping that this little car can fill the void. Thanks in advance for help or direction. keith

Welcome to our humble forum from another North Carolinian, Keith. It does sound like you've been around with world when it comes to sports cars. The Fiat won't be a disappointment. They are inexpensive to maintain, fun to drive and easy to work on. Please post pics when you have a chance.
If you get this car ready by June 26th, it would be nice to see you at the Dixie FiatFest in Winston-Salem. It's a three day weekend filled with car stuff. Check it out here:

Hey, Keith. Welcome to the site.

i hope you took plenty of pictures while getting that Spider ready for the spray booth. Anything you care to share, would be appreciated. We love works in progress just as much as garage queens & gopher chasers.

Welcome aboard Keith. I wouldn't say you're a glutton for punishment, more like you aren't afraid of a little excitement.
I'd stay with the original color, we could use a few more red Spiders!
