Last day at work. Everybody out, last person who leaves should turn out the lights. Well, well

Wow! Sorry to hear that. I know we're being hit hard in the US. Can you tell us a bit more about the business?

I worked in this job last 8,5 years. Most of the time as project manager, we made software for mobile phone operators and such. Since last October we have been mostly waiting for new contracts - which never came.

The whole Europe is in chaos, it will be almost impossible to find a new job. A guy in TV said a couple of days ago: "every day is better than tomorrow". I think that describes the situation the best. TV news are nothing else but companies going down and people getting fired from their jobs.

Sorry for your loss, seems it's a snowball getting bigger and bigger...

Yeah... 100-110 being cut from my company starting this Monday and I'm not even sure I'll be cut... we engineer/manufactor rocket components for NASA, Orbital, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, etc., you'd think we are very busy and we are but the bottom dollar is making sure that investors get paid... your job means squat! :(

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your job. I'm afraid it's not much better here. Hopefully things will get better soon.

Oh Matti, I'm so sorry to hear that. I wish you well in the future - every cloud has a silver lining.

This crisis has bought misery to all. If we don't see an upturn by the end of the year, then Christine and I could very well loose everything we've worked the last 40 years for. But, no point in worrying about it as there is absolutely nothing we can do about it that will make any difference.

So, if one door closes, another will open. That belief has seen me succesfully through life. I've just turned 60 which is probably a bit late to many to think of starting again, but I say Bring It On!! The future is one hell of an adventure :D

Good luck, let us know how you get on.
