home lighting

Post by pope »

It is Saturday night, between 8:30 and 9:30 and I have every light on in the house. Kinda cool to go to a room and not have to turn a light on or off. Go MSU Spartans!

Must be fun to live in a state where you condemn others for living. All for the perceived feel good attitude. I am going to have "ALL LIGHTS ON" day next Saturday, April 4th. 24 hours of lights on, Pass the word on. Our power company is going to double the capacity of our nuclear plant by adding more towers.
I do dump gas in the storm drain...but only in the storm drain that flow westward.

thanks, it will mix well with the perchlorates the military adds to the water and help it burn better in the steam powered cars we are developing. BTW, I don't think I criticized the way you live by merely asking a question. Unless you have a guilty conscience

since you were flaunting Earth Hour, I was just curious if you were thumbing your nose at fuel conservation too. Just trying to assess your economic level. Since utility charges went up 25% here last fall we do most things by candlelight. I've got a hamster running a wheel to generate power for my computer

Our local press has been running stories about this, both pro and con. The idea isn't about actually saving energy, it would be foolish to think so. One evening can't make much of a difference in the big scheme of things. It is about generating awareness of the problems we face, and how conservation can help us toward becoming energy independent. My thanks go out to everyone that is talking about this on both sides. Whether you support or bash the idea, do me a favor and just keep on talking! The more noise people make, the more press this gets, and the more awareness it generates.
Pope, Mark, thanks to both of you for helping the cause.
