Hi all
I was amazed at the number of responces for the olive oil freeby. As it works out more than I had expected, I shall have to make a small charge for the bottles, packaging and shipping. I don't know how much this will be at present, but it wont be much (at cost only). Our fabulous Extra Virgin Olive Oil is free
I need to source some screw top bottles as my supply is in 1 gallon plastic containers, then I'll talk to my local post office to see how they want it packaged and what the shipping costs will be.
Once I have all the costs together, I'll let you know.
I wont be able to do any of this over the next week as I am busy preparing our holiday homes for the first guests arriving next weekend. But after that I'll get it done.
This offer is open to all of you, so if anyone else is interested please contact me at hazydayz@sunnyspain.org by the end of the week so I now how many bottles etc to get.
Happy cooking
Ken

Re: Olive Oil orders
Put me down for a couple of bottles as well. My brother-in-law is originally from Greece and about once a year he visits family and brings back olive oil. It is amazing how much better it tastes than the stuff you can source from the local grocery store.

Spiddy, Depending on the size of the bottles I will buy 1 or 2 bottles from you. We love to cook and fresh EV olive oil is on top of the list. I will PM you my address as soon as you figure out the cost.

Re: Olive Oil orders
I was asked a few questions by Spiderhead, so I've pasted part of my reply here for your further information:
"You asked a few questions and the answers are; yes, the oil is good; yes, its a first press Extra Virgin oil; It most certainly is not blended; I don't think anyone uses a wooden press any more, but I could be wrong on that.
I only have a small grove of 4000 sq meters. The olives are taken to the local facility in Tapia - just about every town or large village has its own processing facility - where it is pressed along with all the other groves in the area. Both the oil and the olives are superb. But I'm no expert.
Incidently, Spanish olives are reckoned to be the best in the world, and our biggest customer is Italy!!! The Italians blend them with their own - but they don't tell you that."

Re: Olive Oil orders
Like I said in the PM, make sure you include me too! I also have family in Greece that brought me some but who knows when I'll get any hand delivered! This is awesome. Now all I need to do is visit Mexico for more vanilla and tequilla.

Re: Olive Oil orders
Ken, if you are able to ship to Canada, then I'd love to have a couple of bottles. We use it every day. What a treat to get it from the source!
