2.0 L Identification

Post by halg »

I have a FI 2.0L engine that came out of a car with air conditioning. The compressor was mounted on a large cast iron bracket that included the oil filter. There are 2 added holes in a cast in boss at the bottom of the block(so there were 6 bolts holding the bracket). The numbers on the block don't correspond to any listing I have been able to find. They are 132 03 031 AC.40/9 4377455 sn 1025640. I am unfamiliar with the 2.0L engine, the water pump impeller from this engine is 25% longer than any other pump that I have. The oil gallery tube that is behind the water pump in the block has been cast flattened to allow for this added length. Is this normal for all 2.0L blocks? Or is this different because of being air conditioned? I am going to use this water pump in my supercharged 1608(should be better cooling) The overall pump is also shorter bur since I am making all my own pulleys that is not an issue. IAP only lists 2 diferent water pumps 1 early 1 late, is this pump standard or special? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

http://archive.mirafiori.com/show.php?fid=2&msg=70581

132 03 031 AC.40/9 =this on the block ?
4377455 sn 1025640=this on the head ?

here are some references on the top of the page you can see pictures where to see on your engine for the correct nr , usually its stamped just above the oil filter , the number wil probably begin with 132 .. ... last 3 numbers should be 000(europe) 040-031 california-usa models

if you got that number and it isn't in the list , you can search for it here
