HI ALL,
I am starting to wrap up my engine rebuild on my 1980 FI. The dip stick sleeve had no seal on it when I pulled it apart, and the the gasket kit had nothing either. What would you guys recommend to put it back together? RTV? Is there a gasket? Any feed back as always is greatly appreciated.
Bob
OIL DIP STICK SEAL?
Re: OIL DIP STICK SEAL?
are you talking about that black plastic sleeve on the dipstick itself, near the handle?
or are you talking about the plastic gasket that should be between the crankcase and the bottom of the dipstick tube? yes, there should be one there. I bought mine from Midwest 124; but they are really scarce.
