My 81 Spider runs perfectly with one exception. When hot and restarted (say around 180 degrees), the idle goes very low, and will stall if I don't feed it gas. Only lasts a minute or two, then is fine. Fine when cold and fully warmed up. Just when restarted when warm/hot.
Any ideas?

Re: Low Idle When Warm
The coolant temperature sensor is the most critical of those on our cars. Seeing as your problem is temperature related, I'd look at it first. At operating temperature the resistance on it should be in the 280-400 ohm range. You can get a resistor in this range and put it in place of the sensor when you are having the problem and see if it clears up. This is a new one to me, so I'm still cogitating.
