Single point conversion

Post by Flyingthere »

I read an artical on converting from dual to single points that stated to run a wire from the negative side of the coil to the point and remove all else. I tried that and my tack stopped working. I reconnected the original wiring leaving one point disconnected and the tack began to work again. Does anybody know how to get around this so that the tack works with the conversion? I think the single wire from the coil looks a lot cleaner.

Sorry, don't know the answer, but I do know IAP has a tech tip on the conversion. Unless that's the article you read, then I'm no help.

Sorry I have a stock Fiat. It needs the internals but most people would replace that stuff anyway.http://www.fiatspider.com:16080/f08/vie ... =11&t=5651
