their loss is due to the fact they build crap cars nobody wants and they pay their workers WAY too much money. Both situations easily rectified by upper level management once they return from long overdue vacations

? which car company are you talking about? "crap" easily fits as descriptive of nearly anything from Detroit as well as the Toys; and overpaid UAW workers have be discussed ad nauseum even on this forum.

Let's face it, nobody is buying new cars right now, American, Japanese, European, good, crap or otherwise. Car companies are just taking the same financial beating we all are taking. Welcome to the flat world of globalization, where the winners are those with the deepest pockets, and the rest of us get to compete for jobs with Indonesian day-laborers.

No, I thought we put forth for consideration, that a failed business model that has lost money for many years and has now become a burden to the taxpayers might be due for an overhaul. And that measures of cost containment are in order, including upper management compensation, the marketing driven model, and yes bringing wages in line with other successful companies. How inflammatory.

You got that right, Jeff. There doesn't seem to be any order in the World any more. In fact, Amber didn't get to race last night because a big fight broke out in the race before hers, which cause enough of a delay for the rain to come.

was the fight between the racers, or their parents? i've been to many a softball and volleyball game throughout the years, and there was always the one or two fathers in the audience that provoked EVERYONE else....fortutately it was never me.

These were the big boys, so they got out of their karts as the field was lining up for the restart....then their fathers dived in.

What's bad is it doesn't seem to be any punishment for this type of behavior and it makes it hard for the parents of the kids to teach them good sportsmanship and fair play.
Softball is another matter. Parents will be barred from the stands if they display bad behavior. We rarely have a problem during the games.
