It started with it running on the hot side in traffic ( I replaced the radiator cap and fixed that issue). Then on Sunday I changed my thermostat due to an issue of my engine running cool in cool weather (60s). Now my engine comes up to temp quickly but I have lost pressure in my upper radiator hose and engine wants to run warm when driving but no issue when idleing. Any advice is appreciated. This is my daily driver.
thanks
Bill

Re: Cooling issues
is the fan cycling on? If not, you probably still have air in the system

Re: Cooling issues
Fan does cycle when system builds pressure. I think it is related to air in system as sometimes I have pressure sometimes not. What is the suggested way to bleed the air out of the system? I have not had luck so far in my opinion.

Re: Cooling issues
send me an email and i will give you a couple of suggestions:

here is the most recommended suggestion...add a T-fitting to the heater core hose and use it to fill the coolant system.

Re: Cooling issues
If the radiator cap was sealing properly, you will build pressure in the system whether there is air in system or not, I am concerned about your lack of pressure. If it is hot and there is no pressure in system, cap is not sealing.
The couple of caps I have tried from local parts stores did not fit my radiator properly.
Good luck,
Keith
