Per my Shop Manual (which is a good thing to get, BTW), the head bolts are M10 x 1.25 mm.

Buy a tap and die for chasing threads, as opposed to one for cutting threads. I need to get one also!

Anybody know about the late "Pininfarina" head bolt that Vicks sells? $2.00 ea instead of $6.00. I wonder if it's a stretch bolt? I looks to have a reduced shank. I think the stockers are made of butter, one of them stretched when I torqued the head, I had an extra, but now I'm paranoid.

Trey by late pininfarina they must mean later than my 83. My bolts have the big theaded section like your second pic, but not the thin shaft or that funky head. basically they are the first pic with more threads. I'm hoping they are reusable.
