Where is it located? Do you just unplug and replace with a new one? Will you loose some anti freeze? Any comments are appreciated. Im going threw everything to cure cold rough idle. AAR is next and I have found a small crack in a vacuum hose.
Thanks

You are f.i. right? It's on the coolant tee at the front of the head just beneath the bleeder.

You will lose some antifreeze (very little) and will have to bleed the system after you have replaced the sensor.

Thank You for the info. How do you bleed the system? Also is it possible to take the AAR out and clean it out?kristoj wrote:You will lose some antifreeze (very little) and will have to bleed the system after you have replaced the sensor.
Thanks.
Re: replacing coolant temp sensor?
the aar won't get dirty, it only has filtered air going through it. Most likely it needs to be replaced
Re: replacing coolant temp sensor?
Anyone know where I can find a new AAR? They seem hard to come by? Haven't found new, just a used one. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Thanks

If you can find one new it is very expensive. Mark's got rebuilt units for a lot less. (http://www.allisonsautomotive.com/)
