Fast Idle - 1981 FI 2000 Spider

Upon startup engine immediately goes to a fast idle (3000 -3500 rpms) and never comes down from the fast idle. Where do I start trouble shooting? Some related postings seem to indicate a vacuum problem,

with the idle that high it would have to be a very large vacuum leak. The first step should be to ensure the throttle is closing completely. Make sure the cable has some slack, then make sure the throttle stop screw is adjusted to allow the throttle to close

Thanks Mark. I'm embarassed to say that it was indeed the Idle speed adjustment screw. So obvious. I guess vibration caused the adjustment nuts to back out. It's running great. Can't wait for winter.
