Webster...not weber
Webster...not weber
It must be an Italian thing...What is meant when the term dizzy is used? The brits and americans talk about distributors, rotors or caps... psg
Re: Webster...not weber
dizzy is short for distributor. and, i honestly learned to use it from the LBC crowd.
Re: Webster...not weber
the perfect nickname, since it's not only short for distributor, but since it spins in tight circles sometimes get disoriented and suffers spark scatter, this is described as a blonde dizzy, or used in a sentence; " my dizzy went all blonde on me"

which one? Gear Box or Tranny ??manoa matt wrote:OK. so who coined the term that's short for transmission?
again, give the Brits credit if you choose gear box
Re: Webster...not weber
tranny.... hmmm. Could have been Hugh Grant. But more than likely the phrase was coined long ago. Another perfect nickname if you consider the shifter is artificially attached to the tranny
Re: Webster...not weber
Yes, and thongs used to go on your feet. Now they go near the shifter...
