I've read a couple different numbers, 850 to 950 rpm. 850 seems to be the most common number, but mine is at 950 and seems to like it there.

I run my '82 at a notch under 1,000. Both me and the car are very happy there.

So I drove it to and from work yesterday in peak-hour Sydney traffic - (60km round trip)

It was idleing at about 1350rpm - remember it's winter here and a 17 degree C day.

I'll try adjusting the idle down today.

Thanks for the input/advise
