I got my DFEV today and a 1.75" Tall air filter for my 79 but the problem is that I called pierce manifolds and they said the Weber DFEV Ball Lever isn't available anymore, it's item # 45034.064.
Does anyone know any other places to get this linkage. How about the 1" spacer? Thanks.
Weber DFEV Ball Lever-Where else can I get one?
Re: Weber DFEV Ball Lever-Where else can I get one?
spacers can be had in (i think) 7mm & 12mm from International Auto Parts.
did you save your old linkage from your stock carburetor? with a small amount of craftsmanship, you could salvage your old linkage with the new carburetor.
check some of the following for the linkage:
dansperformanceparts.com
webercarbsdirect.com
redlineweber.com
call folks, don't just rely on what you see at their limited website

I haven't took anything apart, I'm having my mechanic put the carb in(I know, I know, I wish I knew how to do it myself)
Your right, IAP has the DFEV spacer, which one should I get 7mm or 12mm?
Thanks I'll call the places you gave me tomorrow.

Re: Weber DFEV Ball Lever-Where else can I get one?
i believe IAP also sells that carb, and might sell the linkage separately. it is not a difficult modification, your mechanic should be able to handle it (if he WANTS to). show him both carbs...it is self explanitory.
i used the 12mm spacer

Pierce does sell an 8mm ball stud. Using a thin sleeve I was able to mount the ball stud on the U-shaped arm that came on the DFEV.
The original cam cover mounted linkage worked with only slight adjustment.
My application was a '78 Spider.
