Hi There,

I've been away the last few months just reading a bit - for good reasons - besides the fact that I had a lot to do at work I did fix up the Spider to get the "H"-historical license, and yes I got it.
And.... there is the new president of the family claiming my time, we got our first son back in February, his name is Alexander (now 5 months and a lot!!! of fun!) - find here some pics the car and him (a bit sceptical) in the driver seat:

Hi Stefan, good to hear from you. I guess I've never seen your interior. It's verrry nice. Did you have it redone? And did you have the normal hard console upholstered, or was it one of the padded consoles originally?

thanks to all for your good wishes - yes, I had the interior redone in burgundy/black leather by a local upholsterer some 8 years ago - I stumbled into his shop with some Lancia interior bits and my dash - and he turned out to be the guy who does (or did at that time) the interiors for SpiderPoint.com - so I got it rater cheap (compared to the sp.com price at least). It's all the original stuff, did not have the padded version (did not know that there was one, huh)

Were the early steering wheels (68-69) polished like that, or did you do it yourself?

I have mine painted silver, but I like the polished look. I hesitated because I felt I could not get a consistent and acceptable results where the metal enters the epoxy surround without damaging the epoxy. I do have a spare steering wheel I could practice on.

just wondering, have you ever thought about putting early tail lights on your car stefan.

@mm: The very first series of steering wheels had chromed spokes, yes
and...
@rey: yes, I have the AS-series taillights and front indicators already - but it's a question of $$$s as the necessary welding would mean a rather big paintjob afterwards. Still lack the seals for both ie I've got the rubber seals for the rear ones but they did shrink a bit and are rather hard. Anybody an idea how to re-soften them?
