79 Spider heater problem

Post by barnesjtsl »

My heater went out this morning. It looks like the Hot Water valve that is controlled by the heater controls located at the console by the emergency brake.

As a temporary fix, can I just connect the two hoses together that are marked 4 and 5 in the image below?

Thanks,

fortunately, that valve is not difficult to replace, if you like working in the kneeling position with your head tucked up under the dash. and, it is a very common item for replacement, not expensive either.

i've been told that Val at Performance has a real nice replacement valve.
