How to adjust idle mixture without CO meter.
The book says that I need to use a co meter. I've flunked smog. I need help! Can I rent a co meter?

unless your smog test is at idle, adjusting the idle mixture won't get the car past a smog check.
With the engine warm and idling at less than 1000rpm, turn the mixture screw clockwise until the rpm begins to drop. Then turn the mixture screw counterclockwise to obtain the highest rpm. Reset the speed screw to less than 1000.
