oil in coolant
oil in coolant
took my 78 spider 1800 out for its 5 mile maden voyage today tires squealed on every turn and when i got back home looks like a gray oily film in my radiator whats wrong now what would cause that maybe since it hasnt run that far in 5 years
Re: oil in coolant
why were the tires squealing?
low on air?
Is there any sign of water in the oil?
What was the condition of the cooling system? New coolant? Clear water?

Your head gasket may have torn or broken down and allowed a coolant dilivery hole to accept oil from a lubrication hole. Your will have to pull the head to find out. It is really not to bad of a job just get a good new head gasket and torque it properly, check mx manual, and hope that your head is not warped from a previous serious overheat.
