Some people have no shame

Post by Gunsmith »

I think it was last week this guy advertised this car saying it had a $10K resto now it has a $20K restoration. Also for $10-20K you would think someone would have cleaned up the engine bay just a little and the dash boards, really?. Notice the "DEALER" designation on the tag slightly hidden by the British license plate bezel. Nice looking car for about $4K. Is there really one born every minute, and if so do they all want Fiats?

It can't hurt to dream I guess, at least Craigslist ads are free. There's been a guy near me advertising a '79 for $10,500 for yeas now.

20k and you couldn’t afford some new clock glass.
That dash is pretty sweet though.

There's a dent under the left headlamp. Not quite perfect but in very good shape. I'm not thrilled with the dash but the burlwood shifter cover is nice.

Three diffeent kinds of wood in the interior; and it looks like someone tried to steal the CD player. But he would get that kind of price in Ontario, for the overall condition and paint.

Sweet car! But, you're right, you would think that 20K would go a bit further.

By the way, is that a fricking sticker on the dash pannels? U-G-L-Y !

Looks like they put a large sheet of fishing luer (Spelling) sticker on there an painted the sides of the wood red. Well, I bet he paid about 5 K for that alone.

Looks like they were trying to go for the carbon fiber look. Not too good of a job though with the red painted wood. I think a little darker real carbon fiber would look sweet. :D

20K? The car IS in Miami. Maybe the tires are still filled with cocaine  .

The tires must be filled with Cocaine? That's geographically racist! Just because it is in South Florida it has to involve drugs and specifically cocaine? I am so offended! Oh wait a minute that is pretty accurate. I had better go check the tires on my car so I don't get arrested and have to bribe my way out of trouble.

I remember seeing countless news stories back in the '80's of South Floridians getting their heads ran over while snorting coke out of car tires. The big dealers all had shiny gold valve stem caps.
