update

Post by Tappy »

Hi equally minded , Its been a while since i've logged in , so it will take a lot of time catching up all missed posts
ANyway the forum still has a special place in my hart , this is bye far the most helpfull forum i know , thanks to all great ppl who always want to help eachother fix problems , brainstorm for solutions or just joke around

I LOVE YA ALL

meanwhile my life got on , fortunally my fiat still runs great ! and that must be a unicum during the time i've been its owner
in my personal life i've been quite busy , after a long time unemployedment it looked like i was a rising star in my new job , but economic recession really got me there , i got fired ! after a week i got something else , but just yesterday they told me they can not longer use my services so once again i'm workless ....but not really nothing to do , since where rebuilding (read finishing) the house there's been tons of work to do , meanwhile my wife pregnancy is half way and everything seems to be ok ,and really thats the most importand !

on the fiat side , i really can confirm i have the fiat virus , i bougt 2 fiat 600 for practicing bodywork jobs on , before i tackle the spider

for those who dont know the fiat 600 its the succesor of the fiat 500 here's a picture :

Image

if i cant get a job soon i spend some more time on the web and i'll upload some more pics of the car
while the body needs some work , the mechanics are suprisingly good on this 30+ car , even all the lectrics work , but then again the whole electric sceme fits on one page

the engine seems to be ok exept for a cooling problem the 750cc engine provides enouf power to the 600kg car , beeing a rear wheel drive its a fun car to tinker around with

special greatings to Alvon (who i feel i neglected after all his help), Ron , Denise , Mark ,and all others who has been really helpfull in the past !

your all special , my kind of people !!

Tappy, glad to hear your wife is becoming more aerodynamic. You must be excited. I hope your new 2010 model will be healthy and happy. Hang in there, best to you and your family.

Hey Tappy,
Glad to hear from you again -- but sad to hear about the challenge with the job arena. Unemployment is still rampant over here, also. I hope you find something suitable, soon. Keep us posted on the progress with the house and the Fiats in the meantime.

Give our best to Desiree!

same here , last year alone in an 30 km radius , more then 10.000 jobs got lost , making it kind of tough on the work market , but i'm sure i'm smart enough to restart in the nearby future

I'll put on some pictures next week , so you can all see what i've been doing

wisches back to Maureen and Ashley !

Hey Tappy! Things have not been the same without you posting but I'm glad you're popping in to say hello instead of with a crazy Fiat problem.
Times are difficult here as well and it seems only the most resourceful people are going to pull out of this mess with their shirt on. I wish you all the best in finding work and I congratulate you and your wife on your pending parenthood. We'll definitely want to see pics of that baby!
BTW, we'd love to see pics of your 600. I've always wanted one of those little cars!

Hey Tappy, sorry to hear about the job situation, but I'm glad that it sounds like your family is otherwise doing well. Good luck with your new additions.

Hi Tappy. Your post was bitter/sweet. Bitter part: being out of work. Sweet part, your coming parenthood and the nice things you say about our community here on the site.
Good to hear from you.
