Las Vegas, anyone?

Post by FinnSpider »

Hi everyone,
I'm coming with my girlfriend to USA in April. We will visit the "Viva Las Vegas" rockabilly weekend first and then we will fly to Florida.
I think it would be really great to meet some people from this forum in Las Vegas. Maybe have a beer or spend some time looking into your garage. Or both?
Let me know what you think. We will be in Las Vegas from March 29th to April 5th.

Best Greetings from the Land of Santa Claus,
Matti

Saturday is April 3rd and the 4th is Easter. Not a big deal for me, but it might be for some. I'm up for driving up on Friday, April 2nd. I prefer to stay downtown, cheap rooms and Fremont St is pretty wild on the weekends :)

That would be really great !!!
How about getting together at 3rd of April? Then there will be a car show which looks good in youtube videos.

maytag, could you give us a ride back to Salt Lake City? My girlfriend has some friends there and now it would be possible to see them, too.

I never thought of that Mark! I could turn the annual Oregon trip into a family vacation that way.

I haven't reserved anything yet. I suppose in the Orleans Hotel where the event takes place? All ideas are welcome, I know absolutely nothing about Las Vegas ... well, except what I see in C.S.I. every friday.

There is just two of us, and my girlfriend is a compact packet ... and as you can see in the photo, she usually gets the autographs from any band :D
Seriously talking, we will have some luggage in addition, so maybe the Spider is not the best alternative after all. Anyway, don't worry about it, I think we could also rent a car and drive to Utah. I assume Hertz has no Spiders, but it's OK because I would love to try the new Mustang. It is not imported to Finland so I have never seen it "live".

I live in Vegas and would love to meet other Spider enthusiasts. This could be my Mini Fiat Freak Out since I can't make it back to PA. I work at Main Street Sation Casino right off Fremont Street. Maybe So Cal Mark knows the place since he has been to Vegas before. The Orleans is one of our sister properties and is only 10 min. or so from there. Let me check on room avaliability during that time and see what I can do. I can discount rooms 20 percent and maybe save you guys some money. Always need spare change to fix the Spider. :D
