FLU Elections

Post by ga.spyder »

All you folks that are FLU members, the elections for the new Board of Directors are underway.Alvon Elrod(Ace Ventura) is a candidate, and he is deserving of one of the open spots. His election would go a long way to establishing a active chapter in California. Not to mention he is one of the truly good guys out there, and you couldnt find a better person to be the first BOD member from the West. There are a couple other people that post here that are up for election also.So vote early and often(just kiddin').

Being very new to this Fiat/Pininfarina circle, what is FLU and how does it relate to this forum...if at all?

Jim,FLU is the Fiat Lancia Unlimited group. It is the largest club of Fiat owners in the country, with chapters all over the U.S. and Canada. The club puts on the Fiat FreakOut every year in different locations.Usually 200-300 Fiats and Lancias show up!It will be in Asheville,N.C. this year and there are caravans already organizing to drive there this July. Many ,if not most of the people who post here try to make the event each year. There is no good reason not to join! Check the website
http://www.flu.org/
I posted re. the elections because the west coast has never had a BOD member, and it is past due.Alvon(Ace) would be the perfect choice.Dave is right about Fla. needing an active chapter.Contact Mike Bouse here on the forum,he is the National Membership director.

You're right Peter. There's a huge crowd of great folks in the Toronto area, as well as Montreal. The Fiat Freakout is like a big family reunion where we all get to meet new members and hang out with old friends.

Sorry Peter! I thought you were close to Montreal, but I see on the map that Ottawa is in the middle on nowhere.

OK, all kidding aside. Now that we've well and truly stolen Craig's thread, let's all get out there and vote for the new FLU executive! Or join FLU if not already a member.
