Hey, pump another 4-5 grand into the interior, rust repair and paint, then assuming the engine and tranny are good you'd have about 10 grand into a car worth, what.. 6-7 thou?
Might be worth it if it were an 82.

Rare seems to be the new key word. 50% of stuff on Ebay for Spiders is Rare. Funny to think how rare a seat hinge is when I have 5 extra ones in my garage. Anyone want to buy some rear seat hinges?????

Rey,

Did you look at the car in Venice? I got some info and pics from the guy, and decided it was more than I could handle (or at least more than I wanted to handle). I'd love to pick up a '69 though.

Ok here is a Craiglist post I saw See ad first

http://tampa.craigslist.org/psc/cto/1533984969.html

80% complete. UUUHHHMMMM

So roof, body work, grills, lights, paint, wheels, interior, carbs, getting it running is only 20% of what you need to get a car done. So does that mean buying a car is 80% of the work in restoring a car.

Well at least the car I found had enough parts still on it to give you a rough idea of what the parts you need to replace look like.

It's just missing the carb. The other parts are in a box or buried in a hole in the ground right next to it. 8) And the thing is extremely rare since the first known 124 Spider was '66.
