" Period correct" are right words. We had a special register for classic cars in Finland. Car should be about in a same condition when they was new. Of course nice patina and period accessories are acceptable. Insurance and road tax are much lower than modern cars has. We can drive 30 days / year by classic cars which has museum car status. It sounds pretty low but as today we had -15 C. outside and nearly 50 cm. snow so time is not so nice for convertibles.
My idea is really that my Spider looks like original with narrow tires and period racing wheels. I got this tires yeasterday
and they really looks awesome. We talk about 27 years old wheels.

That's the same way I am leaning with my Coupé (same rules in Switzerland for "veteran" cars). I'm debating between a set of original 5.5 Cromodoras, or trying to convince the licensing office that a new set of 13x6 Compomotive Minilite knockoffs (similar to your design) could be considered "period correct".

very NICE
Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, we have decided to turn off the light at the end of the tunnel. We apologize for any inconvenience.
