Fiat Registry?
Re: Fiat Registry?
WOW... Quite frankly I'm very disappointed at the lack of enthusiasm and lack of interest in getting everyone's car mapped out on the above project I removed... I mean it was free for everyone to join... no cost at all to post a pic and some info about your car... it wasn't even a real registry to speak... it was just a locator of sorts to get everyone’s cars pinned on the map... how hard could that have been... I spent 4 days generating the code to get this going and was gunho thinking everyone would jump on it... just flabbergasted to say the least!
I've notice an ugly trend going on which I believe I'm a part of... not sure what it is... but it's there, I really would hope that I'm not correct.

Re: Fiat Registry?
well, your page is gone after little more than one day - I suggest a bit more patience.....
Re: Fiat Registry?
Stefhahn... I don't really think so... it's actually being ignored... that's why I removed the site.

Not that my car is running. I'm on the site a lot and this is the first I noticed this. I have been pretty busy. I would have done it. I hope there's no trends starting. I like the chats.
Re: Fiat Registry?
I like the idea a lot, just didn't get a chance to get my info up on it. I really think it would be cool, especially since I travel for a living.
Re: Fiat Registry?
There are several here that thought it was a good idea and I would put it back up and continue adding people to the site, you don't need a pic or any specific engine/chassis numbers right now, just a general idea of location, name, etc. and some info about you or the car would suffice and add the pin to the map, eventually when you get the car restored the pic would follow along with updates, etc.
The website still needs to be done so the map is framed along with a side frame supporting ads, etc., and a top header for the site, but adding the info, etc. for the cars could be done now...

Re: Fiat Registry?
sorry, I looked at it and didnt get it. That may be part of the confusion.
Re: Fiat Registry?
Pope I thought I made it simple... just click on the State you want you to see... in this example click on Georgia or Florida as those are the two locations set up with info for now... you can zoom in and see much more detail, if Craig was on the pin for Atlanta area would be shown along with the pin for Pooler, GA as well, etc.pope wrote:sorry, I looked at it and didnt get it. Maybe it might need tweaking some which is what I wanted from everyone to get this going the right way, etc.
The site is back up.

Re: Fiat Registry?
I clicked on NJ and it zooms in. What do I do next to put my info in? I clicked on Florida and saw other info. I don't know the next step. All I see is the map. Nothing to point me in any direction for the next step.

Re: Fiat Registry?
OK... I don't have the 'form' ready yet which would contain input for the data, but for now you can send me the following:
Name: First name and initial for the last name or the full name, nickname, handle, etc.
City and State
Car type CS1, BS1, etc.
Pic of the car if you want (could be road ready or not)
Some info about yourself, about the car, etc.
As soon as I get this info I will input it into the map... a pin will show up when you click your State and if you click the pin it will show your data. You can PM me with the info and show me where you have the pic or send me the pic, etc.

Craig, site is back up... eventually the format for the site will change but the map and all data will remain the same.
Try it...
