Well, tonight I spent the evening cleaning out the plethora of stuff that had been stashed in my new Fiat. Unfortunately, I didn't find any "Oregano" under the seats or anywhere else but I did find the following:
4 pairs of Ringers brand mechanics gloves (they all fit too!), many original documents including service records of previous owners registrations and the original loan application and window sticker, 2 quarts of oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, window cleaner, leather cleaner, 2 screw drivers, 1 china wrench, 1 china adjustable wrench, 2 mouse love shacks, original and presumed to be very valuable framed artwork, 5 tire gauges, 1 bag of shop rags, lint roller, car cover and storage bag, boot cover with hardware, 2 flasher pods, a partially dis-assembled ignition switch, distributor cap, rotor, IAP valve shim tool, 8 valve shims, 4 bumper shocks, a spare front seat belt with re-tractor and belt guide, orginal Fiat tool kit complete, remnants of 2 gasket sets plus more (~50 gaskets in total), full metal brake line set with IAP stock sticker, new transmission mount with IAP sticker, new FI fuel filter in box w/IAP sticker, 2 spare front calipers, new brake pads from IAP, hazard switch, heater fan switch and an assortment of fuses.

Best of all, what I did find was RUST!

I was certainly happy about the valve tool find! I also like the gloves too, Ringers gloves are great if you haven't discovered them yet.

Chris- thanks for the parts identification as well.
