Rim offset question with PHOTO

Post by MNspiderman »

Im looking to get some Ronal rims. 7x15's. They also come with 8mm spacers. I'm good with metric stuff but one part of the ad says 37mm offset and another part says 29mm offset. So obviously the rims are a 29mm offset and if you use the 8mm spacers that brings the offset to 37mm. Thats not the question though. The question is that I don't know what the factory offset is and what offset have people been using? I'd hate to spend $1100 on a hope that these babies will fit. I'm a backspace man myself. I do know how to do the backspace/offset math but I am hoping someone has the answer on the tip of their tongue.

Fit on the following cars:
Fiat
500 / 500 Abarth Typ 312
Barchetta Typ 183

Coupe Typ FA / 175
Marea Typ 185
Multipla Typ 186
Punto Typ 176 / 188
Stilo Typ 192
Uno Typ 146A
NO MENTION OF A SPIDER BUT THE RIGHT BOLT PATTERN 4x98

backspace is measured from the mounting surface, so adding a spacer doesn't change the offset of the wheel. It moves the entire wheel. Those wheels look more appropriate for a fwd vehicle.

I agree with Mark these are for FWD cars, but you can use them with the correct spacers and wheel bolt length or studs. The offset quoted is the distance from center line of the rim to the mounting face, thus @ 29mm the mounting face is closer to the out side of the rim. If you add the 8mm spacers that brings the offset down to 21mm. Most of the aftermarket rims sold by IAP, vick have an offset of 25mm. One key infomation needed is what is the hub bore diameter?
