plug grounding out?

When I take out my plug and touch the threads to a ground nothing happens. But when I hold the threads 1/8" away a spark jumps from the threads to the ground. It seems a s if I am getting a current through the ground side of my plug. I've never even heard of this happening and have no Idea what would cause it. Please Help!

Are you talking about a spark plug? If so, it sounds like a bad plug.

It was four bad plugs. I changed plugs and it started right up. Oh my God, it runs!
