I've got 25 ft. of red 10 gauge wire-Painless Brand, think that's long enough?
Questions:
1. I looked at the back of my ignition switch and I see I have an extra 30 terminal, so instead of piggybacking the brown wire I could connect it directly to the extra 30 terminal, right?
2. Should I solder the wire or use a female connector to the 30 terminal?
3. How do I attach the other end of the wire to the positive battery post, anyone have a picture?
Thanks!

depending on where you are running the 10 gauge wire from...trunk battery, alternator, or starter... will determine how much wire you will ultimately need.
25 foot should be enough to do two cars.
yes, you can use the extra #30 terminal
how good is your crimper and your crimping skills?
i use a crimp connection with a loop
then just put it on the battery cable via the nut/bolt that crimps the connector onto the battery post

Crimping skills are ok I guess, I've got one of those cheap autozone $12 crimpers, it gets me by. I guess one day I should invest in a good quality crimper.
Shoudn't be too much work.

just time consuming, not a high degree of technical difficulty.

Update: Finished up the "fix" on sunday. It worked out great and was fun doing. I definitely see a difference in power to the accessories, like the heater fan, wipers move faster even when I have the headlights on at the same time.
Headlights look a little brighter but will be doing the relay mod soon. Need to buy that kit from GS, though.
Next thing to do is put a stereo in and some speakers.

yeah, well your brown wire surgery will come in real handy when you add that radio...
just for grins you should disconnect the BWire and measure voltage at the head lights, then reconnect everything... add your headlight relays and remeasure your voltage at the headlights. you will be astounded at the difference two to three volts makes.
double check Evil Bay for relay kits, i just saw some last week for $10 per relay&socket

I need to take a little time to look at the brown wire surgery. I need to do this to the car when I install the wiring. It sounds like it would be a good update to the car.

Is the brown wire fix recommended for all Fiats? I have a 1973 Fiat Spider.
Issues:
1.)The (orginal) radio in ithe car blows the fuse everytime the radio is turned on.
2.) The headlights are not very bright and the wipers run slow.
However, everthing in the car works.
