Re: Fiat 124 Spider CS1/76 - Poland - Hello
Hi Blaise,
I've got a 76 too.
Are there many Spiders in Poland? Do you have a club?
Let's see some pictures of your Fiat. Tell us what it is like driving it around your area.

Do share photos if you can and some information on your Fiat ownership.
There is a very nice thread going on how folks came to own their Fiats: How did you come to FIAT ownership?

I was sourcing a new engine (sigh), and discovered that new tranny's for the 124's are avail... from Poland. They are big manufacturers there.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your replies on my post.
The history of my Spider:
The car was produced in the of year 1976, but the model year of the car is 1977.
1977 to 1996 the car was in California.
In 1997 my grandfather buy two Fiat 124 Spider in USA and he bring in to Poland. The color of first car was red, the second was navy blue.
The red Spider he prepare for racing - circuit racing and hill climbing races. Few years later he sold and the new owner of the car is try to built real Fiat 124 Spider Abarth, but it's very complicated and expensive.
The navy blue spider by grandfather use like a normal car for road use, but very seldom.
In December 2008 I bought the car from my grandpa, but the need a lot of work. The engine was damage and a lot of parts.
After six months of work (of course like hobby), the car take a new breath:) and I registered it like a historic car.
* in big short it's the history of my car:)
Clubs in Poland and other Fiat 124 Spider:
In my city it's about two or three Spiders, so it isn't so much. I don't know exactly how much cars can be in Poland, but I suppose that the most of them are USA versions. It is difficult to meet Spider on the roads;)
I don't know the club only for Spiders in Poland, but for example are interesting clubs like:
http://www.fiat-furious.pl/ - FIAT
http://www.forzaitalia.pl/ - Italy Cars
The photos of my car:
The winter in Poland was very long this year, so my car from October was in garage. Now the weather is very good, so before Christmas I take my car for the air:) I want to add actual photos, so it will be soon:)
I see that I write some long story;), so maybe it is enough for the first time.
Regards,
Blaise
P.S.
Sorry for every mistakes in my English;)

Yes, that's true. The hose isn't original part. When I get the new one I want to change it.SLOSpider wrote:Thats one strange radiator hose setup you got going on there. Welcome aboard!

We own the same Fiat. Right now I'm currently working with this car model. I already bought new fiat accessories because I want to customize it. I also to get some new fiat parts for modification to increase hp and torque.
